Exhibitions of Award-Winning Works from the 29th and 28th Hana Greenfield Memorial Art Competitions in Prague, Postoloprty, Kolín and Březnice

August 19, 2026 by admin

The artworks produced for each edition of the Terezín Memorial’s art competitions are initially displayed for two months at the Ghetto Museum in Terezín after the award-giving ceremony. Following this period, the artworks are exhibited in various towns and cities throughout the Czech Republic. We are currently focused on placing these exhibitions in the communities of the winners and award recipients so that their skills and achievements can inspire their peers to participate in creative activities. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the mentioned below institutions for their interest and support.

The keynote for the 2025 competition, its 29th edition, was Never Again? A selection of the winning entries was on display from mid-January to the end of February 2026 at the J. A. Comenius National Pedagogical Museum and Library in Prague. For a time, this exhibition complemented the ongoing display titled Childhood under the Swastika. The J. A. Comenius National Pedagogical Museum and Library, along with the Open Eye association, co-organized the 29th competition. The artworks were subsequently exhibited at the Postoloprty Municipal Office from early March until mid-April 2026. Afterward, the public had the chance to view the collection at the Kolín Synagogue. We should add that the co-founder of the competitions, Hana Greenfield, hailed from Kolín. The Kolín exhibition opened in the presence of PhDr. Jan Roubínek, Director of the Terezín Memorial, and remained on display until June 2026.
